One calendar for every tracker
Tasks, bills, habits, film nights and project deadlines from every tracker on one calendar and one Today list — even from workspaces you link in. Not a separate calendar per list.
The local-first life OS
Goals, projects, tasks, money and ideas live in trackers you shape — and every one of them lands on one calendar. Then pick up a stylus and write by hand, right inside any page.
iPhone and Android apps — coming soon. Meanwhile, install the web app to your home screen.
A tracker for everything you juggle
How it works
Other apps give you a notes tool, a to-do tool and a budget tool that never talk. Life OS gives you one simple building block — the tracker — and lets you connect the pieces.
A tracker is a database you define: goals, bills, films, courses — anything. Add the columns you need: dates and ranges, options, people, links, numbers.
Tasks belong to projects, projects to goals. A monthly EMI can live in Expenses and show up under Household chores.
Table, board, list, gallery, chart or calendar — saved per tracker. Or step back to the Life dashboard and see everything at once.
What sets it apart
Tasks, bills, habits, film nights and project deadlines from every tracker on one calendar and one Today list — even from workspaces you link in. Not a separate calendar per list.
Every page takes handwriting with real stylus pressure and palm rejection, next to its text and checklists. Planner apps don't do ink; ink apps don't do planning.
Everything you keep lives on your device. No signal changes nothing — keep working, it syncs when you're back.
Today gathers what's due from every tracker — even dated checklist steps buried inside pages.
Tick off one occurrence without touching the rest, or get a real row a month before each bill comes due.
Open source and self-hostable. Export to CSV, Markdown or a template file whenever you like.
Features
Your day, your week, goal progress, active projects, this month's spending, what to watch next and the ideas you've captured — set up automatically from your trackers, then arranged the way you like.
Tasks, bills, film nights and project deadlines side by side, each in its tracker's colour. The month stays calm: a day's own work comes first, long ranges take only the rows that are left, and a busy day ends in “3 more” that opens it as a list.
Most planners make you choose: a notebook app for sketches, or a list app for tasks. In Life OS every page takes handwriting — so the diagram, the margin note and the to-do list sit together, on the same project.
Type “petrol 2000 icici” and it's logged — amount, date, category and card filled in. Once a month, drop in a bank or card statement: every line comes back checked and filed the way you filed it before, and the bills you were expecting are marked paid instead of added twice.
Today pulls what's due from every tracker — today first, then anything overdue, then what's coming. One tick marks it done, whether that means Done, Paid or Watched.
Drop a PDF, CSV or Excel file into any page. Life OS reads it right on your device — private and instant — and turns what's inside into a table you can sort, or rows in any tracker.
Open any task, bill or film for notes, checklists, images, files and drawings. Give a checklist step a date and it shows up on Today and the calendar — without moving the project's deadline.
Link tasks to projects and projects to goals. Progress bars fill in by themselves as tasks get done, so a year-long goal never feels abstract.
Every task lives in one Tasks tracker. Its Parent links it to a backlog item (PBI), a Feature or the Project itself — so a small feature simply takes tasks directly, with nothing extra to set up.
Table, board, list, gallery, chart and calendar — each saved with its own filters, sorting and grouping. Switch views without copying a single row.
Type it, press Enter — it's saved with the time you had it. Move ideas through New, Exploring, Planned or Parked, and turn the best ones into real projects.
And everything underneath
Open any task, bill or film for notes, checklists, images and drawings — with dated to-dos that land on the calendar.
Daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. Tick off one occurrence, or have a real row made a week or a month ahead.
Connect trackers, show a field from a linked item, roll numbers up into progress bars.
Filter, sort, group, hide and resize columns. Each view is saved and follows you to every device.
Mark something Done or Paid and the date is recorded. Add a “Completed on” column to sort and filter by it — even for work finished earlier.
Turn text into options or numbers without losing what fits. It asks first, and says what would be cleared.
A table in “Kitchen refit” is called “Tasks_Kitchen refit” — and follows when you rename the page.
A web address in a cell is a real link. Click to open it; the pencil beside it edits.
Paste a screenshot or drop a photo, resize it in place, and copy any image in one click to paste anywhere.
Press Ctrl/⌘ K to jump to any tracker or page, search inside your notes, or create something new.
People get notified when something lands on their plate, and “Assigned to: Me” shows each of them just their own.
Jot it down now, file it later. Notes from every workspace wait in one Inbox until you move them into a tracker or a page.
Move items between trackers after a field-by-field preview of what will change — with Undo.
Auto dark after sunset on your schedule, Soft dark, Dark or Light — plus your font, text size, currency and week start.
Everything lives on your device first. No signal on the train? Keep going — it catches up later.
Add something on one device and it's on the next before you sit down. Settings shows your sync status, with Reconnect.
Add the web app to your phone's home screen or your desktop for its own icon and window. Opening it needs a connection.
Your data is yours alone unless you share it, protected by per-row security on the server.
Deleted something by mistake? Undo it in a click, or restore it from Trash for as long as you choose.
Keep home, work and money apart — and link them so one calendar shows them all.
Templates
Pick a ready-made setup, then change anything — every template is just trackers, views and pages.
An Expenses ledger, the Commitments behind your fixed bills — EMI, rent, electricity — and the Accounts they leave from, in a Money workspace of its own to share with the family.
Use template →Projects → Features → PBIs, plus one Tasks tracker whose Parent links each task to a PBI, Feature or Project. Status and progress roll up, and every Project gets its own Tasks tab.
Use template →Export a whole workspace — trackers, views, pages and items — as a template file. Anyone can import it into a fresh workspace.

FAQ
Yes. Your data lives on your device first, so you can read, add and edit with no connection. Changes sync the next time you're online. If you've installed the web app, opening it from scratch still needs a connection; after that it keeps working without one.
On your devices and in your account's cloud storage, where security rules make every row visible only to you and the people you've shared that workspace with. Files you attach are read on your device by default; a file or photo is only sent to the AI reader (OpenAI) when you choose “Read with AI”. Sign in with Google or your email to use the same data everywhere.
Yes. Invite people to a workspace by email as an owner, editor or viewer — Free shares one workspace with up to three people. Assign items to each other and everyone gets notified. Keep a private workspace alongside, and link the two so your calendar shows both. The Household money template sets up its own Money workspace, so you can share the bills without sharing everything else.
Life OS is built around your life rather than documents. Every tracker feeds one calendar and one Today list instead of a calendar per list, and every page takes handwriting with a stylus — something other planners leave to separate ink apps. Repeating items create real rows, progress and status roll up from tasks to goals and projects, and everything works offline first.
Yes, from files. Attach a CSV or Excel file to any page, choose Read contents, then Import into a tracker — you check where each column goes and it imports in one step. Bank and card statements (CSV, Excel, or text PDFs, password-protected too) go straight into the money ledger with its Import button. Importing directly from other apps is coming. You can export any tracker to CSV or Markdown, or a whole workspace as a template file, at any time.
Any touchscreen or pen tablet in the browser — iPad with Apple Pencil, Surface and other Windows tablets, Android tablets with a stylus. A mouse or finger works too. Drawings sync to every device; the native phone apps, when they arrive, will gain the pen later.
Partly. Reading files is here, and optional: tick “Read with AI” and a photo, scan or statement is sent to OpenAI to be read — otherwise files are read on your device. The Ask AI chat, which will answer questions about your trackers, items and pages, is coming soon.
Yes. Life OS is open source under the MIT licence, and the backend can be self-hosted with a documented setup, so your data never has to leave a machine you control.
No — the web app does everything, and you can install it to your phone's home screen like an app (opening it needs a connection). Native iPhone and Android apps are in development and coming soon.
Free to start. Every tracker on one calendar, and handwriting in every page — in your browser today.
